Prerequisite: None. This course is designed to provide students with classroom and laboratory experiences in order to learn the physical aspects of voice and data network cabling and installation for employment and/or further education and training in the computer networking field. In addition, it will help prepare the student for the Building Industry Consulting Services International (BICSI) Registered Installer, Level l certification. Instruction includes, but is not limited to: safety issues; basic networking; termination of copper, coaxial, and fiber cable; Quality of Service (QoS); rough-in, trim-out, and finish phases; and wireless networking.
